Hello everyone

I am announcing a long-term contribution league for amateur/experienced riichi mahjong players.

Participation fee for all participants: 3,000 rubles.

A feature of the League:
1. Good average skill of the participants
2. High prizes for the winners (all contributions go only to prizes)
3. Flexible game schedule

The main reasons for creating the current event are to give strong players the opportunity to prove themselves and compete for prizes. It is easier for players to give the opportunity to meet experienced opponents, experience excitement and also get their chances for good prizes.

The main differences from the previous League are that bonuses no longer apply. The fee is the same for all players. It will be a fair fight on the same terms.

Expected number of participants: 16-32 participants. If there are not 16 participants by 06/10/2026, the League will be considered invalid, and contributions will be refunded to the participants.

Expected length of the event: depends on the number of participants. Players will be provided with full information about the number of sessions and their duration before the start of the very first game. A minimum of 3 rounds (including the final) is expected. The expected number of khanchans is from 18 (for those who will leave the tournament early) to 60 (for those who will qualify for the finals).

It is assumed that the number of participants may be slightly less than last time, due to :
1. Availability of other activities/busy schedule
2. The presence of reputational costs

Tournament rules:

The current idea is to consider a tournament with 28 participants. Then it will be acceptable to carry out the following stages:
1) 1st round of 3 matches of 6 games each. Of the 28 participants, 16 players will remain.
2) 2nd round of 2 matches of 6 games each. Of the 16 participants, 8 players will remain.
3) Semi-finals of 2 matches of 6 games each. Of the 8 participants, 4 finalists will remain.
4) The final of 2 matches of 6 games each.
This example is for informational purposes, so that each participant understands what awaits them. The estimated total distance for the finalists will reach ~50 khanchans from the start of the League.

At the end of each individual match, the players receive the points they have earned based on their minds. The result of the match played is of paramount importance (determining the winner by final points, taking into account bonuses). At the end of the match, some players may receive a differentiated bonus depending on the contribution (described below).
Total priority results that are important:
1) The final place taken in the match ( counting after the bonus ).
2) The points earned in the matches played at a particular stage.
3) Points earned in the matches played in the previous stage.

After each round of dropouts, everything is reset and the players move on to the next round with a clean slate.

Rules: tenhou-net standard rules, open Tanyao and 3 acadors, hanchang.

Prizes:
The entire prize pool will go to the winners.
Depending on the number of participants, the number of prizes will be awarded. Top 4 if the participants are from 16 to 24.
Top 6 if there are from 28 to 40 participants.
Top 8 if there are 40 or more participants.

Game schedule:
An online conference will be created in telegram. It is highly appreciated if players can negotiate and play games on their own. If the organizer records that the players are not playing, there is a request to play in the near future / weekend. The main game day is Sunday, starting at 18:00 Moscow time, but it is highly recommended that players be able to agree and play at any time convenient for them.
If the games still do not take place over a long period of time (say more than 2 weeks), the organizer has the right to apply sanctions / put a substitute player. In the case of a substitute player, the player receives a fixed penalty of 30,000 points for each unplayed game of the match.

Basic principles of the event:
This event is created so that everyone can play with experienced opponents, get emotions from the battle and finally enjoy mahjong. The organizer reserves the right to rush, judge and make independent decisions in case of disputes. The priority is fair play, the desire to win participants.

As the organizer, I will pay a special fee for my participation. Just like last time, this is a donation to the prize pool. This time it will be:
1) 10,000 rubles if the participants of the tournament will be 16-28.
2) 20,000 rubles if there are 32 or more participants in the tournament.
